Development of prevention and treatment options for cryptosporidiosis have included collaborative invention of a recombinant vaccine for cattle; recombinant antibody – anticryptosporidial fusion proteins, including recombinant-expressed neutralizing monoclonal antibody formulations and antibody-parasiticidal peptide fusions which target the parasite with high affinity and specificity; and efficacy/safety/therapeutic regimen evaluation of new small kinase inhibitor drugs.
